Established in 1996, Flax Apparels has not only established itself as a cornerstone of India's thriving used clothing industry but has also set new standards for innovation and sustainability. Since a transformative management takeover in 2009, infused with over 27 years of industry expertise, we proudly represent the pioneering spirit of the third generation in this dynamic family run business.
Nestled in the Kandla Special Economic Zone, Gujarat, our state-of-the-art facility boasts a dedicated team of 300 skilled workers and visionary management. Each month, we meticulously process approximately 1,000 tons of material, ensuring every garment meets our exacting standards. By saving all these materials from ending up in landfills, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Our global footprint extends to over 20 countries, with 75% of our premium graded clothing, along with a significant percentage of manufactured cleaning rags, wipers, and cloths, finding homes in markets from the bustling streets of Hong Kong to the fashion capitals of Europe and the Americas. Notably, a significant portion of our exports goes to major markets across Eastern and Western Africa, including Nigeria, Mozambique, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, and others, as well as Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, and more.
Meanwhile, the remaining 25% supports our commitment to local sustainability efforts, supplying high-quality wiping cloths, mutilated hosiery, and clippings to fuel native recycling chains in India.
At Flax Apparels, innovation isn't just a buzzword; it's our ethos. We continuously strive to push boundaries, embrace sustainability, and deliver excellence. Our journey is not just about clothing; it's about pioneering a future where fashion meets responsibility, one stitch at a time.
By working together, we can unlock the power of textile waste and create a closed-loop system for a more responsible future.
